Initial Thought
A thought to have regular meets of our family members was first mooted at Inkollu, Bapatla Dist. on 01.08.2019 in the 11th day ceremony of Late Pokuri Kalyani w/o Pokuri Srinivasa Rao, Nizampet, Hyderabad. The initial presence of around 15 members of Pokuri Gandhasiri Gothra family members in the said ceremony have given a wise thought to have regular meets to locate decentralised family members and to bring all family members in one platform.
Post Covid-19 preventive lockdown relaxations, for the first time on 20.12.2020 good number of our family members located at A.P and Telangana have gathered at the residence of Pokuri Srinivasa Rao at Nizampet, Hyderabad. The tradition of family gatherings have continued since then. To develop a system which can exist in the coming days permanently, Pokuri Gandhasiri Trust was established to meet welfare of needy family members and to develop family bonding among us.
6th Annual meet on 12.01.2025 at Medaramatla
Sri. Pokuri Samba Siva Rao, Pokuri Veera Bhadra Rao, Pokuri Hanumantha Rao has taken lead role to organise annual meet at Medaramatla, Bapatla Dist. Thanks to lead organisers and family members assisted them and made the meet grand success.
5th Annual meet on 26.05.2024 at Daggubadu
Sri. Pokuri Suresh Babu, has taken lead role to organise annual meet at Daggubadu, Bapatla Dist. Thanks to lead organiser and family members assisted him and made the meet grand success.
4th Annual meet on 14.05.2023 at Vennuru
Sri. Pokuri Srinivasa Rao, Electrical Contractor has taken lead role to organise annual meet at Vennuru, Kondepi Mandal, Prakasam Dist. Thanks to lead organiser and family members assisted him and made the meet grand success.
3rd Annual meet on 15.05.2022 at Ammanabrolu
Sri. Pokuri Somasekhara Rao, BSNL, Guntur has taken lead role to organise annual meet at Ammanabrolu, Naguluppalapadu Mandal, Prakasam Dist. Thanks to lead organiser and family members assisted him and made the meet grand success.
2nd Annual meet on 24.10.2021 at Chekurapadu
Sri. Pokuri Venkateswarlu, Veteran Communist Leader, Pokuri Anjaneyulu, RTC and others have taken lead role to organise annual meet at Chekurapadu, Naguluppalapadu Mandal, Prakasam Dist. Thanks to the organisers and family members assisted and made the meet grand success.
